Automatic Photo Album

The GIST is a vector that individualizes each photo by describing the signature of the

spatial envelope that builds the scene in it.

We divide the photos to K segments according to their signature with KMeans

algorithm where K is the number of photos the user want to select out of the original album.

The aesthetic grade is based on the rules of composition in art, and particularly in

photography. We take in consideration 4 main rules that establish

good composition, that is pleasant to the viewer and garner interest.

The Co-Saliency grade is given to each photo according to how much the photo

represents the whole segment.
