Dr Alexander M. Bekker received the MS degree in mathematics in 1970 from Kharkov University, Ukraine (then USSR) and Ph. D. in Physics (Quantum Electronics) in 1980 from Lebedev Physics Institute of the USSR Academy of Science, Moscow. From 1971 to 1990 he was a researcher in Leningrad Nuclear Physics Institute (now PNPI ). His work was concerned with holography, optical data processing, optical tomography and application of optical methods in track detectors for nuclear physics. Since 1991 he has been with Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, Haifa as a chief engineer of Electro-Optics Laboratory of the Electrical Engineering Department. Dr. Bekker has over 40 publication and patents.
