Professor Emeritus Adir Bar-Lev born in Israel in 1929, is one of the
founders of Technion’s Microelectronics Center. A Technion graduate, he has been a visiting
professor at Carnegie Institute of Technology and the Imperial College, London. He
published the first books in Hebrew on transistor operation and circuits in 1964 and
numerous articles in professional journals, in addition to an internationally acclaimed
textbook. He has served as the head of Technion’s Electrical Engineering Department
and Microelectronics Laboratory.
Research includes mobility studies in MOS inversion layers, epitaxy of Si-Ge layers,
surface effects and processing of integrated circuits. Microwave semiconductor
devices and infrared detecting systems are also areas of research.
