While the user is taking a video of his surrounding, and the image is displayed on the tablet screen, he can acquire the distance between the tablet to an object by taping on it. The algorithm will run over the entire focus range of the lens, while finding the focus configuration which provides the sharpest appearance of the selected object. The distance can be calculated according to this configuration.
