Precise registration of 3d models to images by swarming particles

Typically, a known 3D model of an object needs to be precisely aligned with the signature of the same object in sensor data as an important component for further scene analysis and object recognition tasks.

In the present work, we implement a comprehensive and flexible approach to precise 3D model registration suggested by J.Liebelt and K.Schertler in their article “Precise Registration of 3D Models To Images by Swarming Particles”
