Project Description:
 

Augmented reality (AR) is a field of computer research which deals with the combination of real world and computer generated data. At present, most AR research is concerned with the use of live video imagery which is digitally processed and "augmented" by the addition of computer generated graphics [Wikipedia]. The novel 3D camera adds infinite possibilities to this field. See the link below for an example of AR.


Project Goal:
 

In this project we will employ the 3D camera to create Augmented Reality Games. The 3D camera can be used to translate the real world objects into computer 3D reality and to activate them according to user gestures.

There are many different games that can be constructed in this way. Students are encouraged to come up with their own ideas.
