Faculty/Post Doc Openings
The department ranks among the world’s top ECE departments. A recent (2009) international review committee, chaired by the MIT Provost, concluded: "The Electrical Engineering Department at the Technion is a world class academic unit. The faculty, the technical staff, and the undergraduate and graduate students are among the best that can be found in a top ranked institution anywhere in the world." The department attracts outstanding students, has excellent facilities, and is immersed in and closely cooperates with the leading Israeli high-tech community. The department offers highly competitive start-up funding, and faculty members have access to Israeli and European Union research operational and infrastructure grants.
All applications should include:

- lab requirements - estimation in terms of sum ($) and space (square metres).
Post Doc OpeningsPostdoc in Electrical Engineering
Research Topics: The SAMPL Lab focuses on sampling, modeling and processing of continuous-time and discrete-time signals and on new design paradigms in which sampling and processing are designed jointly in order to exploit signal properties already in the sampling stage. This approach has the potential to drastically reduce the sampling and processing rates well below the Nyquist rate, typically considered as the ultimate limit for analog to digital conversion.
The laboratory facilitates the transition from pure theoretical research to the development, design and implementation of prototype systems in areas ranging from bioimaging trough communications, laser optics, cognitive radio and radar systems.
Research projects are available in the areas of phase retrieval, superresolution imaging, radar systems, ultrasound and MRI imaging, sampling over graphs, blind deconvolution, communication systems.
Qualifications: Applicants should have a Ph.D. (or they are about to graduate) in Electrical Engineering, or applied mathematics. A strong background in signal processing or mathematics is required. Excellent English writing skills are an advantage.
